This page is a template, not legal advice
Replace every [bracketed] detail with your own, remove what doesn’t apply to you and have the final text checked by a qualified lawyer before you publish.
This policy explains what personal information Taffy ([Company legal name], “we”, “us”) collects when you use taffy.co, book a strategy call or work with us as a client, why we collect it and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us and we’ll explain it in plain words.
01
Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, plus a small amount that’s collected automatically when you use our site.
Contact details — your name, email address, company and social handles when you book a call, request a free audit or email us.
Project information — account access, brand assets, performance data and anything else you share so we can run your content and ads.
Usage data — pages visited, device and browser, approximate location and referral source, collected through cookies and analytics.
Billing details — billing name and address. Card payments are handled by [Payment provider]; we never see or store full card numbers.
02
How we use your information
We only use your information for the reasons we collected it:
To reply to your enquiry, schedule strategy calls and send the proposal you asked for.
To deliver our services: planning, filming, editing, posting, reporting and running paid campaigns on your accounts.
To send our Monday growth notes if you subscribed. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
To understand which pages and content are useful, so we can improve the site.
Our legal bases are your consent, the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interest in running and improving our business.
03
Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to keep the site working and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how visitors use it. Our analytics provider is [Analytics provider].
You can change your cookie choices at any time from the cookie banner or your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
04
Sharing and third parties
We never sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted providers that help us run Taffy, and only as much as they need:
Scheduling and calls — [Calendar tool] and [Video tool].
Email and newsletters — [Email provider].
Project management and files — [Workspace tool].
Social platforms and ad managers — TikTok, Meta, YouTube and LinkedIn, when we manage accounts or ads for you.
Each provider is bound by its own privacy terms and a data-processing agreement. We may also share information when the law requires it.
05
Data retention and security
We keep enquiry details for up to [24 months] and client records for as long as our contract runs, plus [6 years] for tax and accounting. When we no longer need your information, we delete or anonymise it.
We protect your data with access controls, two-factor authentication on every client account we manage and encrypted storage. No method is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe.
06
Your rights and how to reach us
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or limit how we use it. You can withdraw consent at any time.
To make a request, email [privacy@taffy.co]. We reply within 30 days. If you’re not happy with our answer, you can contact your local data-protection authority.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll change the date at the top of this page.
